Biography
Julia Pilkington-Alexander is an associate attorney at Bean, Lloyd, Mukherji, & Taylor, LLP. Prior to joining the firm in 2025, Ms. Pilkington-Alexander worked as an associate attorney for the litigation team at the Law Office of Robert B. Jobe, representing clients before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Asylum Office and the Executive Office of Immigration Review (EOIR) in San Francisco, Concord, and Sacramento. Prior to working in removal defense, Ms. Pilkington-Alexander worked as an associate attorney for Minami Tamaki, LLP, preparing employment-based immigrant and nonimmigrant visa petitions, with emphasis on L-1 intracompany transfers, O-1 extraordinary ability, and EB-1C multinational managers, plus H-1B extensions. During law school, Ms. Pilkington-Alexander first joined Bean, Lloyd, Mukherji, & Taylor, LLP as an extern through the Immigrants' Rights Clinic. She additionally gained experienced in immigration law through summer positions with the Catholic Charities of the East Bay (CCEB) Removal Defense Team and Kingston, Martinez, & Hogan, LLP.
Ms. Pilkington-Alexander received her J.D. From the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly University of California Hastings College of the Law), with a concentration in international law and as a member of the Order of the Coif. She was a member of the Immigrants' Rights Clinic, competed on and coached teams for moot court competitions, served as a staff editor for the Hastings International and Comparative Law Review, and worked as a Teaching Assistant for Legal Research and Writing courses. She received her B.A. from Saint Olaf College, majoring in English and completing a concentration (minor) in environmental studies. She is currently a member of the national American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and AILA Northern California Chapter. She is an active member of the California Bar.
